Our Career and Job Fairs, a Success!
During the past years, 2018, 2019 AND 2022 the Chamber has kicked off the years in partnership with the Brave Church and Atlantic University, presenting THREE successful Career and Job Fairs in the community of Westchester.
Over 900 people and candidates attended with 50 companies interviewing and hiring in place. Included were, Bryant Security, State of Florida Department of Corrections, Amazon, Sherwin-Williams, Team Concepts among others.
The WMDCC is proud to continue serving the community through events and partnerships which develop long lasting business relationships and assist in the economic growth of the community and its people.
GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS AND THE WESTCHESTER CIRCULATOR
In 2016, the Chamber's Government Affairs Commitee, met with Miami Dade County Mayor Carlos Gimenez and Commissioner District 10, to give its support to the new Bus Route for the Westchester Business and Residential District, the "Westchester Circulator.The new bus route and "loop", similar to a trolley, has been a success and is already active. Congratulations to the members of the Committee for their support, efforts and results. In 2019 through 2021, we continue being active at the local and state government level and we look forward to being represented in the best interst of the business community and voters.
