The 2023 / JOB WAS A TREMENDOUS SUCCESS!

On behalf of all the Chamber's Board Members, its founding and current members, I would like to welcome you to the Westchester Miami Dade Chamber of Commerce website. As you browse through its pages, you will find information about the first Chamber of Commerce representing the business owners of this growing business community, Westchester, in Miami Dade County. Our mission..."Building Business Partnerships and Community", has been as strong as when we first started in 2013. As the first Business Chamber created in Westchester, Miami-Dade, Florida, we'd like to invite you to visit our website and join us in our scheduled events. Once you get to know us, our dedicated membership of proud business owners, you will be a part of the premier and growing business association of this thriving business district.

We've  had seven tremendous 2017 thru 2024 great years, except the sudden pause during the COVID period. However, where possible, we conducted  wonderful events such as our monthly Networking Breakfast, our First Annual 4th of July Parade.  In partnersh in 2018, the Annual Job fair with Brave Church. And we hosted a great concert to gather supplies for the victims of Hurricane Maria, in Florida and Puerto Rico.  Through our community service program, we spearheaded the collection of school supplies for “The St John Bosco’s Leadership Learning Program.”  We are an active organization servicing not only the business sector but also the general community as well. We’d like to thank our partners University Health Care, GMSHRM, Medley and Sweetwater Chambers for their assistance in such a successful project. We would also like to thank the corporate sponsors and members that have been an integral part of the Westchester Miami Dade Chamber in the last 5 years. Thank you to Jose Garrido, our founding Presidentand current Board Member,  for his leadershipsince the Chamber's inceptions and during his 4 year administration, 2013 - 2017. Certainly, the Chamber gratefully acknowledeges his contributions to the community.

COVID-19 /  OUR TAKE in 2024

As in the U.S., in Miami Dade County, it’s important that individuals stay informed and prepared. Everyone should follow the advice from the CDC, relevant state and local authorities, and health care professionals.

Public health is everyone's responsibility. Communities, businesses, entities and individuals can take measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19. The CDC has given advice on how families, schools, and businesses can plan for and respond to the virus, including travel information etc.

The Westchester Miami Dade Chamber of Commerce supports these CDC recommendations and urges our members to adopt and implement these standards. Based on information by the CDC, the Westchester Miami Dade Chamber of Commerce is studying methods including virtual meetings and information on how to help employers and employees prepare for and address the impacts of the Coronavirus.
